Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen

This is truly an honour with a difference. As you all are aware, I have been honoured with several awards, titles and degrees both at home and abroad.
However, this particular honour done me through the conferment of the Lifetime African Achievement Prize For Leadership In Africa Chieftaincy beats them all. I am all the more humbled to note that the prize is based on the fact that as an individual, I have been adjudged to have upheld the values of African Monarchy and used these values to bring positive changes in the lives of people for development and to promote peace, economic development, education, entrepreneurship, poverty alleviation and enhancing the lives of my people.

It is very gratifying to note that my modest attempts at touching the lives of those who come in contact with me have been recognized and acknowledged by a body no less than Excellence Awards Foundation in our sister country, Ghana. My entire life has indeed been one of extraordinary success in diverse fields of human endeavour. I therefore cannot but be thankful to Almighty God my Creator for all the personal achievements and His ceaseless and numerous blessings upon me.

Words are inadequate for me to express my gratitude to the Life Patron of Excellence Awards Foundation, His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, Kumasi, for nominating me for this prestigious Award. I am indeed grateful. Your Majesty, your association with the Foundation goes to confirm that African Chieftaincy is leaving no stone unturned at contributing new values and new strategies towards repositioning Africa. Long may you reign.

On a special note, I also acknowledge with thanks the Founder, Professor Ashim Morton, and Board of Governors of Excellence Awards Foundation for finding me worthy of this most prestigious Award in Africa for the excellent arrangements made for this beautiful ceremony. This indeed is a unique occasion which for decades to come will remain a memorable and historic event in the history of Africa.
The memory of Osagyefo the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, former president of the Republic of Ghana who is a past recipient of this award, the presence here of another eminent past recipient of this great award Dr. Kofi Anan, former Secretary General of the United Nations and more importantly the presence of all of you great men and women here today point to one fact - that my acceptance of this award has the approval and guidance of the Almighty.

          Today is truly a great day and I wish to enjoin on all recipients of this prestigious award to support the Foundation in every way we can. We promise to uphold the integrity and prestige attached to this Award by working towards the achievement of the goals of the Foundation.
